The current version of LexAccess is the enhanced version of the first Java LexAccess (2005)! LexAccess uses UTF-8 as the default encoding format and integrated with the latest Xml tags format with Xml schemas, which ran in JAXB, since 2007. New features in this version are described as below:

Package
Two packages:

• lexAccess2008: the completed lexAccess package,
• lexAccess2008lite: the min. pacakge to run lexAccess.

IO
All software compoments in Lexical family moved to UTF-8.

Databases
Two embedded databases:

• HSqlDb (default)
• JavaDB

New APIs
Provides new API class to get information of configuration data.

Software QA

• New testing suite for complete unit test on all lexAccess options
• Performance tests on HSqlDb and JavaDb
